There seems to be no agent more effective than another person in bringing a world for oneself alive, or, by a glance, a gesture, or a remark, shriveling up the reality in which one is lodged. – Erving Goffman

Thanks to my partner for testing and Porpentine for mechanical inspiration.
Developed in Construct 2, sounds generated in SFXR.

Sometimes the other blocks can move to block the entrance to rooms, preventing you from advancing.
welcome to the real world~
While I agree with porpentine that this really helps to bring the feeling merritt is trying to get across, it would be nice to have an easy reset button – I still wanted to explore the rest of the game but got blocked off. Of course, refreshing the page should also fix this. Maybe a way to restart at the beginning of that level?
Anyway, I still quite like it. The camera zoom and shake especially brings a surprisingly visceral feeling, especially considering the very simple graphics.
Heh, i reset it and got to I think level 3 or 4, and got completely booted through a wall and out of the “building” by one of the blue squares (after it had successfully chased me through the end of the level somehow).
Fucking visceral and horrifying
I GOT EJECTED FROM THE MAZE ENTIRELY ON PLAYTHROUGH 2 BUT THE PIXEL AT THE END STILL RECOGNIZED ME

I can’t even get to the first room, no matter how hard I try.
What.
I haven’t heard of anyone else having this issue — what browser are you running and how are you being prevented from entering the room?
Running Google Chrome (21.0.1180.89 m), the collisions are all weird – I’m stopped from advancing a small space before I touch the walls or other blocks, which makes narrow corridors a trap, more or less.
Don’t know what to tell you, sorry! This was an issue while I was testing but I haven’t encountered it in the uploaded final version.
